Default Mythe or reality

Just wondering if any of MD people have heard about this or if it's another mythe written about in Iowa news. I'll post the whole story site in a little while. It says that it is a yote hyiena mix. Says it has been spotted in MD quite a few times and pretty much on a daily basis.

That is site for the story.

Iam gonna put my head out on the chopping block and say,, It is in fact a hyena, if you look at the pic you will see that the shape of the head is that of a hyena,, the body is also shaped like a hyena, as far where the pic where taken nobody really knows except the person who took them. also hyena's are known for sheadding there coats in the summer months, I will assume this was taken in the summer time, early before the animal had completly shed it's coat, this is just my personal observation, I am not in any way a professional, so take it for what you will, any other suggestions?

Hyenas do not have long tails......look at the pic again. This is a dog with a tail.
