Anyone Hunt NE Pennsylvania?

I hunt Clinton county, I saw an ad for some property near Jim Thorpe was inquiring is anyone familiar with that area, should be good bear country, I think it is in Carbon county a top bear county in PA.

BLACK BEAR (Statewide): Nov. 22-24. Only 1 bear may be taken during the license year.

So - if we hunt on top of Red Rock Moutain, would we have to be on the side that Ricketts Glen State Park is on? We are across the street (487) from the park.

I hunt Carbon County mostly, 3D and 4C, in Hickory Run SP and Wild Creek reservoir. There are plenty of bear, not much deer, unless you hunt private lands. Public lands are hunted hard.

My in-laws live in Bear Creek Lake neighborhood right on 903 near Tavern on the Top. We're there all the time but I never hunted there. We have a lot of bears up in Sullivan County, too. They were becoming nuicance bears for a while. I wouldn't mind having an extra few days to hunt them this year.
