Just wanted to see what a reasonable price for a hunting lease is in Adirondacks. I have a friend who wants me to go in with him to lease this 1040 acres tract of ground. What is the hunting like up there? and what would be a good price for the total lease of the whole property. It is mostly wooded with some fields no food plots, but are allowed to put them in.

K.A. Why do you need to go up there, I hunt about 15 miles from your home and it is good hunting in that area. I am on Beech Creek mountain, have a camp there, hope to be up in about a couple weeks to catch the last of turkey season....

Depends on where exactly the tract is. Some areas demand ALOT higher cost then others. Especially if it's anywhere near a recreational area. Around here you couldn't afford it, if you could fine an area that large.[:@]

I thought that keystoneanglers was asking about leasing, not buying. $247/acre to lease it? Are you kidding?. $247/acre to buy it? You'd better jump on that!!!
