Default NRA Convention gone P.C.?

I really hope this is just bad reporting, but I heard on the KDKA news tonight that only "on duty police officers" will be permited to possess firearms in the convention center during the NRA convention, and that anyone attempting to bring any kind of weapon into the convention will be removed and persecuted, er PROSECUTED. Does this sound right to you? PA has the highest NRA membership of any state and nearly a quater million concealed carry permit holders. I sent an e-mail off to the NRA. Hopfully they will clear this up for me. I'll keep you posted.

Say it isn't so!

If this is true they probably are worried about some stupid incident hurting the image of the organization. I certainly hope that's not true. Stupid isloated incidents are the one of the excuses for the anti-gun crowd to take em from us. [:'(]
