Someone shot a huge deer in Allagash, Maine (bout 1 hour from my home). I don't remember if it was an 8 point or a 12 point. The base of the antler had an 8 inch circumfrince. It is a record buck. The guy who shot it was offered money from Cabela's and L.L. Bean for the deer. I don't have a picture of it, but I wish I did!!!

Even a bad day of hunting is better than a good day at work!

Sounds interesting. Keep us posted as you learn more about it. The Cabelas and LL bean part sounds like something out of the ole rumormill though. Especially if its been killed this recently.

Has anyone else noticed how the body on that hog tends to make the box of the truck look tiny?

Awesome deer! That deer looks to be about 100 yrs old. Probably the first time this big boy even saw a human.

We have always heard that Maine is the place to go for that crack at a monster big woods deer.

Wow!What a buck and the body is huge.I would like to know how big around he is in the neck.He is either just a huge deer or was rutting or both.Keep us posted on where he scores he should be right up there at least in his state.

Sad thing it he was driving down the road during lunchtime and saw the deer in a field. He got out of his truck, took a couple steps and shot it.

Not much for hunting there.
