I was sitting in my ladder stand around 8:30 Saturday morning, had not seen a thing. When all of a sudden I heard something running behind my stand. I turned around and knelt down to see a doe running. She stopped about 30 yards in the woods looked towards the road I was hunting on, then bolted off away from me. Then, this buck came by the same place she had came. I made one grunt and he stopped just long enough for me to take a shot. Well I shot and the buck took off. I thought I had missed it, but after looking in the area I had shot him, I noticed a tree with blood and my slug stuck in it. I knew then that I had made a good shot. I waited about 15-20 minutes to get out of my stand. I followed the blood trail and found him about 80 yards away from were I shot him. I also shot a spike buck on Friday morning around 6:45. I am done hunting until Friday. Thought I would give that area a little break for now.
