Hunted public land in Montgomery County yesterday and saw a nice 8pt running down a doe. As luck would have it, she stopped 5yds in front of my stand and he was behind me. She didn' t seem very interested but he was!
No shot because they were both so close and she was " freaked out" so I was afraid to move. She ran off and when stopped about 45-50 yds away which is WAY to far out for me.

Oh well, there' s always Tuesday!

counted 8 dead bucks on the side of rt4 and 2 on my way to work late last week. the rut is on!!!!!!!

I have seen bucks cruising but no chasing yet. Not many active scrapes or rubs in my area either. Any day now!
