Thanks. I entered the draw and took the course online. I am looking forward to springtime! By the way, I have no idea what Oldtimer said in response to my post and I'm glad that I missed it.

Good deal! I'm sure you'll do well. I'd much rather hunt public lands in Delaware than PA. Too much competition here. I can't get on a bird without somebody else calling to it.

Thanks, MooseMike and Hatchet Jack.

Your Welcome.

I see that you already put in for the drawing, that is good. I see you are from Lewes, you asked in the OP what areas have the best population. Well, your in luck, it's Sussex county. i know that Redden State Forest in Georgetown has a large turkey population. I'm not sure about other areas in Sussex county, but I know that Sussex always has the largest number of birds taken. I would keep an eye out in the fall and winter while you are hunting public land for other game, to scout for turkey season. Happy hunting. |
Try Milford Neck have heard many success stories from that area.

Thanks, I will be sure and check out both areas!!!

Lady hunter,
Did you get your permit in the mail yet? I received mine today, seems I'm hunting the industrial forest lands this year. Best of luck with whatever area you get. Best of luck to you and happy hunting |
I got my permit in the mail the other day. Looks like I will be hunting C & D Canel on the last week. Best of luck
