Here in New York, particularly Southern Tier/Western NY., I guarantee a lot of BIG buck were seen today. The full moon was up until at least 11 am. This late in October practically assures this.

It's been my belief that searching bucks will start out late at night, 2-3 am because of the full moon, and stay up and active 'til it sets, especially the ones that have learned the nocturnal safety aspect.

I've never seen a deer on a full moon till 3 yrs ago and his rack is now on the wall. My belief is it all matter's When the full moon falls. I now hunt am and pm's but years ago I would hunt all day long and on those full moons most of the action was between 10 am and 2 pm.

All I can say is I had an awesome afternoon...Except for the high to the left shot at a nice buck that was following does. Getting rid of my obsolete equipment, picking up my new bow tonight!
