Default New to the PA area.

Ill probably be movin to the Lehighton/palmerton area in the next few months. Im from southern Kentucky, good huntin here. Is it good there? I visited there and seen that mountain, figurin theres gotta be some good woods on the out skirts of it. Checked out archery addictions, really like that shop and the people there. Wonderin if i should keep my KY residency through huntin season. lol.

Default PA has opportunity

I'd check the PA Game Commission and the PA forest maps on the internet. Pa has a lot of free hunting areas in that part of the state and doesn't require leasing like some states.
With the most hunters in any state, some 300,000 archery hunters, it pays to get in some pre season walking and hiking. Can do the latter on the land you find available.
You'll have one great advantage. You won't by habit be tied to the same one square mile.

Good luck on your move.

Turkey hunting is pretty good in the area (Carbon County), so is deer. There's a lot of public land within a 50 mile drive, evn better if you can find some private land to hunt. Good luck!
