Default MD Bear

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone else thinks there are more bear than the state of MD is willing to admit. That's about all we see while hunting or on trail pics. They are overtaking the area. Here are a couple of the newest ones.MD Bear-pict0009-3-.jpg

The numbers they are giving is a bunch of crap. If you hunt alot on Dans and Savage you probably see more bear than deer. The lottery is a money racket plain and simple.

You are right, it is only about money. What's needed is an open season.

Just a matter of time. Yesterday morning my buddy and I went hunting and while walking in the woods while still dark, my buddy got between a sow and cubs. He was very uncomfortable to say the least. She was huffing at him while the cubs were just above him. My question is how long before someone gets mauled or killed by one. They seem to be getting more and more aggressive.

Ive had that happen a few times too, its a little dicey to say the least, open season for anyone wanting to buy a 10 or 20 dollar stamp would be the way to go.

Oh they are there, but for the most part except for the younger males, you will only see them on the trail cams at night, as you obviously know from the above photos. However, I have seen a ton in Garrett county during the day, but in the rest of the counties where bear are located I have seen only a couple during the day. Also, bear don't obey state lines. They have huge territories they wander, especially the older males and females. Maybe up to 80% of these have territory in PA, WV, or even VA. Their surveys may only include those that they know for a fact have territory only in Maryland, I don't know.

These are in Garrett county. We see them in the day often. We see more bear than deer anymore.
