What unit did you put in for? You should have your tag mailed back by mid september. Aug 6th was the date for the first round of "unsold" license. WHich means most residents and non residents have already sent in for their first doe tag. You get whats left over. Here is an update on what units still have tags. https://www2.pa.wildlifelicense.com/deeravail.php

You can still send in. Just do it the same way you did your first set. according to that link 2D should still have over 11,000.

If you go here https://www1.pa.wildlifelicense.com/start.php
click on the first dot which gives you the ability to check the status of your application. Follow the prompts, enter your CID # when asked and you can see if the permit has been awarded.

Check the DMAP stuff. There are some good areas left with tags. State Parks, State Forests, some others. Usually the private farms are worthless that are listed. Some of the DMAP areas straddle more than one Management Area and are pretty good the second week.
