nope...not yet....they have till.....the 15th i think it is?? something like that....its soon though....and i got both mine for 1a it looks like....now to get a 2b or 2 and ill be set....i cant wait!

yep lonewolf , i' m a resident , and it' s a resident tag , now i' m waiting for my wmu tag for 4C to come yet , it' s the second round for those , and on the 8th , i' m thinking about getting one for area wmu 5C , it' s my old stomping grounds in that unit , and then i' ll have a tag for rifle season , muzzleloader season , and bow season.
i' m pretty sure i won' t get to use them all up but , you never know , it doesn' t hurt to cover all ends
i' m also looking forward to that special bear season in wmu 3D as well , i know where there are some nice ones for that too !!!! just hope everything goes my way during the season . ;);):D:D i love this time of year :D:D:D:D:D:D

whelen36 The last time I hunted PA was back in the 90' s had my place in wayne county off of RT247 behing the church in pleasent mount great hunting up there got a deer every year with the bow.I see there are a lot of changes for pa that were made last year on regulations .I allways love to hunt PA the reason because you all ways see deer in the woods there were days I remember could pick up my rifle so many time yo get ready when you see the deer commming down the trails.sure hope PA with this new doe regulation don' t end up like NYS deer are few and far between in NYS last year hunted up in delawre county for the opening week think total deer seen was about 10 does .I all so see that the bear season in 3D is open or runs in the regulator big game season in that area should be nice to see a few bears running around also.Me myself do not hunt bear the reason is I don' t eat the meat I had it once and did not take to it so well.I have been hunting now I would say allmost 40 years and love to fish and if I do not eat it I would not kill the game the same with fishing I love to fish for stripers but it catch and release .The area I am going to hunt is around the gouldsboro park area off of Rt380 early m/l season and love the late flinter season in dec. good luck

i don' t think that they' ll lose all that much during the season , the new management units were aimed at high population areas where there' s a high deer human interaction rate . where i live for example , we have a large populace of deer , just about every day i see about two new deer hit by cars and dead aside the road , and those areas are what they' re going after. we have less doe licenses available this year compared to last year and that' s evident in the wmu' s , the lesser populated areas have been put together into units and are given an allocation of tags concurrent with the amount of deer inhabiting the area. if i' ve explained that right that is [&:][&:]
i' ve got some good areas to go to , one' s of rt. 209 in pike cty. the other is right up from where i live off rt. 534 overlapping wmu' s 3D and 4C. and i' ve got a bunch of places in lehigh cty. which is in 5C.

i know what you mean about seeing a lot of deer in the woods , back in 96' my grandfather ( my hunting partner and mentor since i was 6yrs. old , i' m 30 yrs. old now ) and i went scouting and came across a game trail in monroe cty. off of mt. eaton rd. and were checking it out when about 25 to 30 deer came running down the trail and if we wouldn' t have moved and spooked them , they' de of ran right over us:D:D:D a truly beautiful and kodak moment sight :D:D:D

and as for bears , i' ve got them in my back yard , they make an appearance every couple of weeks just walking through , i' ve never had bear meat but , i' ve heard it is a very red/dark red in color and has a sweet taste to it , is that correct my friend ??? :D:D:D

I haven' t received mine for 2F yet. I just got coupons for DMAP unit 148 yesterday and they are in the mail going to Harrisburg. Sad thing is I' ll probaly get the DMAP tags before I get my WMU tags.

They finally cashed my check for 4D today. Lets see how long it takes to receive it. I' m sure I' ll have it in time for the early ML season though. You would think they would have some sort of notification system to at least let you know they received the application and is being processed. I know, I know but how hard would it be to hire about a dozen temps to do this in Harrisburg, seeing as how that is the central location where all apps are sent to before being forwarded to the Cty treasurers. Or has Rendell done like McGreedy and froze state spending and at the same time give himself a substantial raise.

I think notification system to at least let you know they received the application and is being processed would help alot.Funny thing I can' t even check to see if the fee was cashed I sent them a money order never do that again and yes still no tag for 3D.

I havent' even got my liscense yet.... Opps did I say that out loud? no, seriously. with it just being me and my wife this year, there is no need for me to shoot more than one deer, we can only use some much meat. There is no sense in wasting any. So, i' m just going to hunt the trophy that i' ve been keeping an eye on the last few weeks. If i don' t get one, i don' t get one. No big deal to me, I just like being out in the woods. Good luck out there and I hope all you guys that sent for your antlerless tags get them in soon.

I also feel it would be a good thing to have confirmation of processing. If for some reason ours ended up in a dead letter file, we have no way of knowing that, and while we wait we could' ve at elast applied a second-round tag because there were some left this year. I' m not greedy when it comes to tags, so didn' t bother with that, but it could possibly come back to bite me if something happened to the first one. Notification that it is being procesed would certainly be a great thing. Pinwheel 12

Nope,my unit has 66,000 to get out. could be Christmas as slow as my county seat works.They start work a 8 Am take lunch from 11 Am to 1 Pm and then go home at 4 PM

If I read it correctly.....

The reason that some get there tags and others haven' t received them is due to the county treasurers. There are several ct' s in each unit. The ct' s receive a percentage of tags for there units based on land mass in the area....so, a buudy of mine got his tags for 2F last week....I haven' t gotten mine yet....different ct handling our licenses. I think this process could use a whole lot of work!

BTb, I' ve never hunted the KQDC, but I have some hotspots in other parts of the ANF. Of course I can' t tell you about them or they wouldn' t be secret anymore!:D

DL55, that' s wierd, I thought the ct' s in the WMU' s were the only ones to issue the tags....guess it could come from anywhere.....or, that' s where the nearest hub is that it came from, like New Castle is a big hub, Erie is a hub, etc. Maybe that' s it....then that shoots my theory right out the window.

Received mine for 2F yesterday, 9-16-03! I figured they would be here either the 16th or the 17th....typical slow poke treasurers around here that wait until they are all done to mail them all at once....

I got my 2nd tag for 2D, before I got the 1st for it. got the 1st one(bonus tag) 9/13, the 2nd one(original) 9/16. I also got my 3 2B tags as well. I' m still waiting on DMAP tag for Rothrock SF.

I received my second tag in the mail two days ago...though it was the first tag I applied for back in the beginning of August. The tag was for WMU 3D and came from the Wayne county treasurer' s office.

got my doe tag and my first round on the 16th sep for 3d. two different county treasures. still waiting for my second round or my check to be returned??? any of you guys with 3d tags looking to get together on any hunts in pike county? email me if so and when, i got every day of hunting seaon from fall bow to winter bow off!!! is that a rareity. plus there are doe tags that you can get from the state forrest lands that apart from your regular doe tags. i' m waiting for my coupons (that' s what they call them) for two different tracts of land. i think you can get one for each tract of land. will find out more. bob
