Default new york bird down

19 pounds 10 inch beard 3/4 spurs not a giant but a nice two year old bird
gave me quite a show strutting in from a field .Came in less than 10 yards away from me before I shot . I was set up wrong for him so I had to wait until he was wide open before I could pull up on him

Congrats John, Must've been a good morning to hunt those thunder chickens. I called in a similar tom for my son this morning. 9 7/8's" beard, 7/8" spurs, didn't weigh it. We setup on a gobbling tom, I only had to do 3 series of clucks and light yelps over 10 mins and in he came answering my calls. Full strut, spittin and drummin. 20yd shot, Tyler was wicked happy, and I'm a prouder father.

Congratulations on your bird. Here in PA where I am hunting the birds have shut up. Before the season they were gobbling their heads off. Now, nothing.
