PGC Website

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the new and improved PGC website. I can't access the reports, I can't log in and I can't send an email to let them know I am having a problem. Have I been banned?

ManySpurs 12-30-2009 03:12 PM

I dunno if you were banned. I'm having the same troubles to. The new search engine outright stinks. Can't get into any reports either. Tried filling out a DMAP report for my grandson, can't do that either.:sad0064:

bluebird2 12-30-2009 03:25 PM

Thanks , looks like another PGC SNAFU.

livbucks 12-30-2009 03:29 PM

I have gotten the "webpage cannot be displayed" page, over and over again.

Me too. Looks like some kind of problem with the linking feature.

bawanajim 12-30-2009 03:51 PM

Bush and Chaney put the bid out and since Halburton was tied up in Iraq the PGC gave it to the lowest bidder. :woot:

Zrabfan26 12-30-2009 03:54 PM

I was just on pgc website, and it works fine. I googled pa game commision and clicked on the first link and on it came. I went into reports and had no problems.

bluebird2 12-30-2009 03:57 PM

Under what heading did you find the reports? Are you using a PC or a Mac?

Pahick 12-30-2009 04:19 PM

none of the annual reports can be brought up. not much on research either. maybe we outta have BT and GTF from the other board on speed dial, they seem to pull numbers outta their arse pretty easy

Zrabfan26 12-30-2009 05:03 PM

It was under the headline "Resources", and then under field reports. I'm using a Gateway computer with windows? Is this what you were asking BB

bluebird2 12-30-2009 05:12 PM

Yes , that was what I was asking. But, I can also access the field reports , but I can't access the AWR under ,reports/minutes. Can you?

Zrabfan26 12-30-2009 05:30 PM

The board meeting minutes does not work for me.

bluebird2 12-30-2009 05:35 PM

thanks for checking that out

bawanajim 12-30-2009 05:38 PM

Remember sports fans the decoder ring setting has not yet changed four the new year, 1-12-20-09 lets not get ahead of our selves.

ALT-year and you should be able to access even the most sensitive files.:happy0157:

germain 12-31-2009 04:01 AM

For anybody that gets no display page,if you're going under your old link in favorites type Pa game commission on the search engine,it should work.
I was able to send an e-mail about the SGL maps not working and they responded. It's going to be a while.

bluebird2 12-31-2009 04:43 AM

Itried that with 2 different links and this is what I got.

The Enterprise Portal page cannot be found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
Would you post the link that worked for you. Thanks

Yes, it is true. Bluetick has been appointed site administrator by his inside connections at the PGC. He has made a list and is checking it twice. Of course, your's was at the top of his list. Damage control at its finest.:happy0157:

germain 12-31-2009 05:49 AM

Let me know if that works BB.

bluebird2 12-31-2009 06:21 AM

I still can't access the AWRs. It only allows me to access the summmary, but the full report won't load.

germain 12-31-2009 06:57 AM

Tell me what to click on BB and I'll see if it loads for me.

bluebird2 12-31-2009 08:39 AM

Click on resources on the right side of the header, click reports/minutes,click AWR,click 2008 Deer Section, click 21001 and then click the part highlighted in blue and the complete report should download.

germain 12-31-2009 09:28 AM

Won't come up for me either BB.

bluebird2 12-31-2009 10:58 AM

Thanks for trying.

Zrabfan26 12-31-2009 11:09 AM

I just clicked on everything you said BB and it worked. Last night I was under something else. First the page didn't display then I clicked again and it worked so maybe just try it again.

bluebird2 12-31-2009 11:15 AM

Did you get the full report including the tables?

I just tried it again and it didn't work.

Zrabfan26 12-31-2009 11:23 AM

No table just report.

bluebird2 12-31-2009 11:26 AM

Then the link to the full report didn't open for you either, but thanks for trying.

bluebird2 01-07-2010 04:03 AM

They did some work on the PGC site and now you can get some reports But when you click on the 2008 report 21001 you get the following report which is about the DMAP and Red Tag harvests.

DEER MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE AND AGRICULTURAL DEER CONTROL PERMIT PROGRAMS ( DEER MANAGEMENT ASSISTANCE AND AGRICULTURAL DEER CONTROL PERMIT PROGRAMS )
I don't recall seeing this info before, but I might have missed it.

Cornelius08 01-07-2010 07:02 AM

They must still be screwing around with it. I clicked your link and all was on the page i got was

"Error - You do not have sufficient rights to edit this object."

Looks like still a work in progress.

bluebird2 01-07-2010 08:07 AM

I got the same message when I tried that link. Hope this one works.

Cornelius08 01-07-2010 08:31 AM

Yep. Thatn shows just as you said.

I checked the 2007 a-w report and got an error message saying the website declined to permit it to be viewed. I then tried the 2005 and got an incomplete page with basically nothing on it.

Guessing they are working on it. Funny how that dmap stuff appears though instead of the annual report.

Maybe they are gonna be presenting the data in a less self damaging way as well and its taking more time to do so? Who knows.

bluebird2 01-07-2010 01:28 PM

I tried to access some of the other reports but they wouldn't download. Obviously they still have a lot of work to do to get it right.

Pawildman 01-08-2010 12:09 PM

.........They sure tried to hide the Elk License procedures, it seemed. It was hard for me to find where and how. But I fooled 'em.....got it done anyhow. Certainly not user-friendly in my mind.....

bluebird2 01-11-2010 04:30 AM

I still can't login or send an email. Has anyone tried to notify them about all the flaws in the new site?

germain 01-11-2010 06:13 PM

I told them the SGL map function wasn't working and they responded.
They're working on it and said it would take a couple weeks. That was two weeks ago so hopefully soon things will be worked out.

bluebird2 01-12-2010 01:44 PM

Thanks. The AWR are now available on the PGC site.

ManySpurs 01-21-2010 07:13 AM

Been trying to access the PGC site all morning. Only thing I get is this:

We were unable to return you to state.pa.us.

Internet Explorer has stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the website continues to have a problem.

What you can do:

Go to your home page

Try to return to state.pa.us

More information

When a website causes a failure or crash, Internet Explorer attempts to restore the site. It stops after two tries to avoid an endless loop.
