Default Best season ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pictures are in my pack, I will put them up later. The Proofs in the smile.

Long season, the swine flu kicked my azz and ended my bow season early.

But yesterday made the 2009 season the best I've had in a long, long time.

I hope you all made some lasting memories and families and friends had a safe and successful season, I know I sure did.

Glad to hear it but my best season ever existed back in the 80's. These later years, I haven't even seen anything come close. I suspect that is the case for the majority of us.

I can't wait to see the pics and story, Jim.
I too nearly had my best season ever, in terms of tagging a buck.
I missed what would have been my best buck to date, on Friday the 13th in November. Glad to hear you closed the deal.

This is Drake, he is ten. And thats his first buck.

His mother died of cancer when he was two, his father doesn't hunt. Last week his grandfather,a friend of mine was telling me the problems he was having getting the boy a shot at a buck.

I ask him to come and hunt with me on the last day as I had an open stand that I was sure they would see deer from.

Well 8;30 along comes 3 doe and a great 6 point, the kid makes a text book heart shot and the back slapping started.

I've never had a better season.

Congrats to him and you Jim. It caught my interest a bit that you had such a change of heart from your previous posts when i read your title. Now I see what you mean, that would make even the worst of seasons a great one!

Way to go!

What a great kid, he had a great time, we loaded his buck in the truck and they were off to show every one that would look.

I finished the day in my stand content to watch some does heading up to my corn field, buck free in 2009.
