I have a hard time understanding why the DEC would still need the legs sent in. Not like hunters only started killing turkeys in NYS last year. Turkey hunting has been going on a good while now and I am sure they have had more legs sent in than they could count. Maybe someone is grinding them up and putting them into hotdogs or something??

While the leg submission is a viable hold, the wings pose a serious threat to their opponent, and a rear choke hold provides better protection from flailing wings and sharp spurs. Better yet, forget submissions and just shoot the darn thing in the head.
