Deer Management Permits Extended Application Period
Application Period begins November 1, 2009
Applications for Deer Management Permits (DMPs) remaining after the initial application period (ends October 1) will be accepted at license issuing outlets beginning on November 1.
These DMPs will not be available by phone or by mail.
The WMUs with permits available will be:
1C
3M, 3R, 3S (bowhunting only)
8A, 8F, 8G, 8H, 8J, 8N
9A, 9F
Note: DMPs are valid only in the WMU for which they are issued.
Hunters may apply for and receive up to two additional DMPs in these Wildlife Management Units. A boundary description for each Wildlife Management Unit is available on this website.
Applicants with licenses that are exempt from paying a DMP application fee or hunters who have previously applied for DMPs this license year will not be charged any additional fees during the extended application period.
DEC will continue to issue permits in these WMUs until sufficient numbers of DMPs are issued to achieve optimum management in each unit. When a unit is opened, it will remain open at least until close of business that day. At the end of the business day, any units that have reached the desired number of permits will be closed.

Yep, you're exactly right. The book does say that. I didn't see
that before. Anyways, I asked my brother and couple friends if
any of them had received one. None of them have and they haven't
heard of anyone else getting one but we live in 9T where the
chances were low to get one anyways. If I hear of anyone getting
one I will post again to let you know. Good luck this season!
