Default Crossbows are now legal in Pa because.....

Since there are those who refute the numbers who are in opposition to or support for crossbows, I would like those who hunted in PA and only those who hunted or continue to hunt in Pa to voice their opinion as to what is credited as being the greatest factor as to why our Board Of Commissioners voted to include the crossbow.
Once again this is for those who hunt or have hunted deer in Pa within the last 5 years.

I understand how you feel, please choose the answer that you feel was in larger part the motivator behind the decision.

I picked money. Though I think it about a 50/50 split between money and harvesting more deer.

It's tough to pick any of them.It was a social decision, plain and simple.

I voted money or profit motive but think it was a bit more complex than that.

Profit does fit well as the reason when the strongest BOC proponent sells em.

Sorry Doug but we disagree on this one. How can it have been a social issue when 90% of those who cared enough to write were against it?

Deer management? IE more deer killed? If that were the real goal, That could have been accomplished with a seperate season for the xbow.

I think the real reason here is not listed and that is the heavy handed influence from the industry that was exerted through the legislature. Most of us has read about lawmakers getting free hunting trips courtesy of the xbow industry. Those perks werent handed out without an expectation of a reward down the line and we have arrived down the line.

Watch and see if we dont get that license inrease fairly soon now... JMHO!
