I've been saying for years its up to us as hunters to do whats right, I'm glad others feel that they do have control of their areas. |
I agree 100% that hunters should use their judgement in determining what to harvest and/or what. That should be occurring wether pgc was managing the herd appropriately or not. Its only common sense. Unfortunately not everyone has common sense.
I dont however think that anyone should stop expecting and demanding responsible deer management on pgc's part. Nor do i think most will anytime soon. They arent paid to screw the hunters of this state. They are paid for responsible management. And for that, they should be held accountable. |

So , why did you deprive other hunters the chance to get those DMAP tags? Are you saying you oppose the PGC 's attempt to manage the herd?
bb obviously you have no idea about dmaps yet you shoot out your nonsense on 2 threads. IN your negative way. Shows you are full of horse pucky like usual. I deprived other hunters the chance to get those dmap tags because it is my private land. I can hand out dmap coupons to anyone i want. I do not chose to open my land up to anyone. With the dmaps i can control my deer herd to my likings. with dmaps i dont want used i just run the coupons threw the shredder. Doesnt cost me anything that way. If you want to know more go to a website and read. Other than that it is mine and i will do as i want and see fit so rant up all the threads for the next six months over something you havent got a clue about. :birthday: |
You said nothing to indicate the DMAP tags were for your property. Therefore, you are the one that is responsible for any misunderstanding.
|
Still proves you no nothing , without looking in book you can only get like 2 dmaps
per property.be hard to get 32 i would think . So the only other thing would be landowner dmaps. I guess it has to be spelled out for a old bluebird playing twister everyday. |
Bowtruck, if I'm not mistaken, DMAPs require mandatory reporting...harvest or not. What will the agency think if you as a landowner applied for 32 DMAPs and didn't report a single one filled? If you already stated you have no intention of filling a single one...And you have total control over your land and who hunts there...I have to ask....What are you thinking?
|
never said i wouldnt use a one or not report. The guys that hunt on me will get some of the dmap coupons already said that. Gave away 15 the youngens all get two. And by what i am seeing all the adults will get one. some chose to use regular doe tag. But i want about21 to 25 doe killed this year. I do what i want as long as i am not breaking any laws.. to the best of my knowledge. atleast now that i am getting older.

how much land do you own? How many PS DPSM do you have? Why hasn't the herd ben reduced in your area after 8 years of HR?
|
I have posted how much land i own before.
The herd hasnt been reduced because . I own enough that i can control my deer herd, Some of my neighbors dont allow hunting, Some are trophy hunters,I control some of the neighbors land. But to be short and sweet There is several thousand acres around my mountain all private property. It isnt a free for all. Unfortunately i dont own a helicopter But my best guess at dpsm is well over 50 in my area. From what i can see. IF and only IF log prices come up i would like to log this winter. And would like the deer pop down from where it is for a few years .For regeneration for many more years of great pa deer hunting |
