Default PA State Park Closings

I understand there is a legislative effort right now to close up to 50 state parks in PA. State Parks offer outdoor recreational opportunities for everyone, with little or no fees. I use them, as do a lot of fellow hunters and fishermen.

Please contact your local legislators nowand ask them to vote this down.

When you say close down, does that mean you can't hunt on them either???

Yes, if the PA State Park is CLOSED, you will NOT be able to hunt there.
PLEASE if you haven't already, go to www.congress.org and get the name, email and snail mail addresses, and phone numbers for Gov. Rendell and your PA Representative and PA Senator in Harrisburg and FLOOD their offices. Please get all your friends to do the same.
Suggest they show good faith and take a 0.5% to 1% PAY CUT to show they are sacrificing something like the rest of us and that they remember that they are public servants
Remember the last budget fiasco when they tried to push through a pay raise and raise in expense money for themselves at 2 a.m. but fortunately for us, a young journalist was there and got the news out and when their offices were flooded, they acquiesced and rescinded the pay raises.
We need a real grass roots effort to keep our state parks open!
Remember to tell them you are a registered voter and a taxpayer!
Thank you.

Sure you can. I can name a few that allow hunting on many acres. Ricketts Glen in the northeast and Evansburg in the southeast, to name a few. How about World's End? Hickory Run?
