Sproul, I really don't know why I'd watch it. The last one I watched, the representatives from the state danced around almost every question instead of giving direct answers. If I want to watch dancing, I'll watch Dancing With The Stars with my wife.

I didn't see it that way. Please elaborate.I watched the whole thing at least 4 times andactually came away embarrased to call myseslf a hunter. One lady was upset about the stocking of big predators.Another guy explained how pizzed he was as chew spit ran down his chin. The mouthpiece from the USP kept trying tohog the mic and added nothing of value,as usual. One guy was mad because they were timbering too much because deer only eat acorns and others were mad because they didn't timber enough.Oneguy was even mad about DCNR sprayIng beech brush. That meeting was a joke.

i see.
i know this, this is worst year i have ever saw in clinton/no/potter countys.

they did stop doe hunting first week of deer this year, they is a PLUS but the hunters went out in great numbers in the muzzleloader/rifle october hunt this year.

i never saw so many hunters road hunting as i did that week of oct.

i hunt along roads with my dog for grouse, so i see what is going on and people stop and talk.

2 trucks said they went over 115 miles on roads and never saw a deer in clinton county that week.

others said they saw like 5 doe but all were near homes or on private land.

some road all week and never got a deer.

this year all deer that were left were near ROADS.

this is because WATER was near roads, our drought was awful this year.

also dcnr cut the trees back along roads, so more feed there.

you have to cover territory if you want a DOE.

walking in woods is waste of time from what i am seeing and most of the die hard meat doe hunters know this too.

they are not lazy ,they know how to get MEAT.

Doug must be refering to the big meeting in Coudersport last year, when Slinsky ran from one side of the room to the other, so he could get more microphone time?

That one had no phone calls, only guff from those assembled in the auditorium. The panel consisted of PGC, DCNR, ANF repsand one guy (Kraft)representing local businesses.

This PCN call-in show is like many others they've had: One or two PGC people in the studio, with calls from the rank and file. Many of the calls will be from those who are miffed that theyno longer see 80 or moredeer run past on opening day, like they did in the late 90s and want to know why.

denny, i am miffed because of what has happened .

you know, i did not see 1 fawn on stateforestland, not 1 THIS YEAR.yet in my yard, i have 3 bucks, 3 doe and 2 fawns.no coyotes and meat hunters have got a shot at them, they try with crossbows at night.i shot the predators .

but i see ALL KINDS OF COYOTE POO AND PICTURES ON MY TRAILCAM on stateforestland.

those poor fawns dont stand a chance.[:@]

those fawns are our future and if they are being eaten and shot by hunters, yes, big fat hunter shot one near my stand last year, what a HOG.

i just cant understand hunters, no deer in clinton county ,YET,i see many out in early muzzleloader trying to fill their tags with doe meat.

it seems they will hunt until nothing is left.meat prices and filling tags is whats important .[:@]
