We have the same issue in Ontario, Canada just across the border, but methinks our mountain lions come from Pennsylvania. We have eyewitnesses stepping forward with sighting claims,but like with OJ and PA eyewitnessesthere is no proof. Below is a quote from our previous Prime Minister of Canada concerning proof. Note: AllCanadiansdo not say dumb things. We just came back from a great deer hunt in Northwestern Ontario....we had hunting buddies in cottages on either side of us from Minnesota & Tennessee....we had a great time....us hunters are allgood ol' boys no matter where we come from.

after reading about the CONFIRMED kill of cougar in chicago that went 1000 MILES IN 9 MONTHS FROM WISCONSIN, I BELIEVE NOW THAT COUGARS ARE ON MOVE A A LOT MORE THAN WE THINK.;)

I think the tracks that I saw while hunting close to the place of the first mountain lion sighting where that of a mountain lion...not sure though but from what I found on then internet they sure looked like it.
