They have been spotted here in NYS also but the DEC denies it , just the same way that they denied the coyotes & wolves being in NYS also [:@]

Show where the NYSDEC ever denied they were Coyotes and where is the resident woilf population?

Lived here my whole life(45 Years) I have never heard of anyone I know seeing one.

Mountain Lions, one real kill site, track or photo, this has been kicked around for years on here and not one.

The NYS DEC never denied that coyotes were present...The hunting regs booklets have referred to them as least as far back as the 1940s..

What they DO deny is the ludicrous rumor that they have been covertly stocking them... You know, the stories about black stealth helicoptors lowering cargo nets full of the crittersat night, etc...

As far as cougars and wolves are concerned, there is no substantiated proof that there is a breeding population of either species in NYS...

I haven't seen one yet ,but I find it hard to believe that all the sightings are false or faulty IDs.
