ORIGINAL: bowtruck i am not saying they are not there but around troy pa there has been storys for years yet no evidece they were said to be around the school yet i have never seen a picture not even a blurr the one i had seen was by sunfish pond in a enclosure along side a siberian links dont know how people can get permints for those but i am sure there has been a few escapes it was not and it came over 1,000 miles to get there. you can read about it if you do search,this was 3rd cat killed there. clinton county,pa. i believe had a cougar shot back years ago, i cant find info i had on that, i had picture from the old PGC gamenews book. so, cougars were here years ago. |

They shot one in Crawford county in the 60s or 70s near venango .That story was also in The game news.

i caught the elephant sitting on my car hood today but once again the elephant
did its disapering act right before i got back with my camera tracks and all were gone ![]() |

I am not saying they are here or not. But I remember a map that was on our camp wall up in clinton co.which showed the location, date and name of the person where a "panther" was shot. As I recall the dates were from the late 1800s to early 1900s.
So cougars were native to PA way back when. |

So cougars were native to PA way back when. i just cant remember name of camp.:eek: that mr.parucha wrote a book on it ,he is from lock haven. it had the story interview from local from renovothat saw panther looking in window of camp. only difference between then and now, that guy shot it looking in window and it was big. only place we are getting steady reports is the keating mtn area of clinton county. some of areas light sighting over last 15 years in clinton countyare. hyner,pa.johnson run so.renovo,petes run /cranberry hammersly fork,dutlinger wild life area beech creek rd/rt144 what all these areas have in common are they are WILDEST AREAS wee have in county too.;) |

Plenty of snow on the ground shouldn't be a problem finding tracks and then a kill,right? They kill on average 52 deer a year.

They kill on average 52 deer a year. as for prints, i saw 1 confirmed cougar print in clinton ,so far with photo. that is on cougar network site,you can see that. but i know of no one that has seen cougar track in snow locally. |
