Default Story and pics of ny 9pt!!

Sory it took me so long to get back to everyone!,

Well yeasterday i went to my spot in corfu ny off of fargo rd!
got to my stand about 4:40 pm .

about 5:30 i seen 3 does come in , well watching the does i hurd something moveing to the left of me , i looked but seen nothing then i looked again and i seen him, i was omging my self, he was rubbing some trees i really could not get a good look intill he started moveing,
he turned tords the path and stoped to make a scrap. at this time i was getting excited that i was going to get a shot, i started shacking . he started moveing to to teh opening and stoped he was stearing into the feild. i looked right and the there was a 4 point moveing in so he started stomping and shacking his head in to the brush, at this point i thought he might turn around, but after about 5 mins he started moveing tords my shooting lane, he got into the pointing and i drew and WACK he took off running i got on my grunt call and he stoped then walked into the thick stuff. . so i got out of my stand and walked back to the house to get the guy with teh 4x4, so we walked back and took the dog with us found good blood and folled the dog and his nose, we hurd something take off running with the dog , it was the buck, not dead yet. i was like wtf, the deer ran into the creek the dog went in ater him and the deer died right in the creek, i guess i had to work for my first wall hanger,,

Big Al!

P.S I shot him with 100 gr rage 2 blade @ 17 yards ....IN THE 2ED PIC THE POINT ABOVE HIS EYE MAKES 9!!!

Congrats on your buck. I can't help but comment on the use of a dog to track the buck. It is illegal to use a dog to track a deer in NY, UNLESS it is a certified tracking dog. If it was a certified tracking dog, it can not be off lead.I would be careful posting illegal activities such as using dogs, bait, after or before legal shooting hours, filling other peoples tags etc.
You never know who is watching in the forums.

Here is a link toto a deer search organization in NY
