Default NJ Doe Down (PiC)

Well it took me 3 hunts and countless deer seen out of my DOUBLE BULL T2! I was usinga blind i bought from cabelas that is totally awesome..but i wanted a smaller outline so u boughtthe T2out of retirement i brushed it in so well, that this afternoon i thought someone had taken it i met a buddy of mine there and he is never scents down. he is thinking of getting into hunting and likes to go. we watched the tree rats for a time and i saw deer ghosting in front of us in the timber..8-10, but they didnt come to us. i told my buddy that this is the PRIME TIME..5-615pm they seem to move in the timber, b4 hitting the fields. we sat for a while and i thought mayb it was over for today...i picked up my like binos and looked left to right. as the i glassed the rear right corner of the timber that we were in..out pops some back straps. 3 does..but i continue to glass because i would like a nice buck from NJ. i put the glasses down and alert my buddy, "they are coming right at us". the largest of the 3 does hits a mineral lick...hard..she was on it for 5 minutes while the others feed and sniffed around. i decided that the largest deer was a shooter..i cocked and locked onto the string. the doe walked to the left and looked towards the blind..but wagged her tail and settled down. she stepped again forward and passed a stick i placed at 20yds. i put the pin on the left shoulder and let the SLICK TRICK mag fly...i caught the arrow at the VERY VERY last second...and so did she..she wheeled and lurched back...turning only to find that both shoulders were taken out, but ran off...we both looked at each other and covered our mouth, "Yeah". i told my buddy that the deer was down..I think?? we waited 3mins and got out of blind..i walked to the spot and found a few drops of blood. I thought out loud,
"wow, not alot of blood";( we would have to track this deer, but i knew i put a shot on her..i walked 5yds and looked towards some thick bedding stuff...something caught my eye 5 more yrds from me...there was the deer. 10yrds from where i hit her..DOWN. I am a muzzy guy, but let me tell u,
the SLICK TRICKS fly like ur field points...im serious. i hit that deer in the center ring..and she didnt go anywhere..at all. so, one down guys and a few to go i hope..
i have to go in the morning and find my arrow.

it was a great ground blind hunt...i am getting better at brushing the blind in to make the deer feel a lil at ease.
i will tell u, it doesnt work like the video all the timei will tell u that i have shot muzzys 4 yrs and nevr had a
deer drop in 10yrds. Yeah, someone will say that they dropped a deer on the spot..usually thats a bad shot and
u spine the deer..to me..not a good shot at all. i hit the deer..and she was done in 60sec or less and down...HARD.
that slick trick busted through shoulder and leg and passed through...there really wasnt that much Blood..lil drops
i am ordering more slick tricks...i have found, as advertised, they group with the field points. i used the longer points
100 grn and sited in. i then shot 2 slick tricks..no planing and they hit right with fields. i used the 100 grain magnums.
they went through the blind mesh and hit the boiler room with great accuracy.

what i have started doing with brushing...i am brushing the entire blind in and leaving only 2 areas for me to shoot...in
front of me...not behind(oh well) it works. i brush part of the screen in too. this deer was not totally relaxed but she was
not jumpy. they busted out once because of the squirrels chasing and playing. actually was funny watching. the deer was grazing
a bit in front of me...and looked up once like she had figured the blind riddle out...but not to be..the tail wagged and she took
the next steps forward and head down again. the other 2 deer were already relaxed. i pinned the shoulder pit and let fly.
very exciting and i dont remembr shooting..or barely putting the pin on her. SLICK TRICKS!!
