It's going! Can't wait till the Southern Opener! I hunted a day up in the Northern Zone this past weekend, but this year will be my first full season down in the Southern Zone. I feel like there is more potential down here compared to up there. I'm hunting South of Rochester in the Canandaigua area. Saw a few bucks sparring already (including a nice buck that's at least an 8, tall rack) and saw a small rub today actually.

I have a few small bucks on trail cam, but I know that the big boys around. If you have a chance check out www.aandeoutdoors.com. They are from WNY and are having a free Big buck contest, all registered members are eligable. Two more weeks and archery opens, I can't wait. I have been lucky the last couple archery seasons scoring on a couple of Pope and Young bucks. I hope the streak continues. Luckily I went to taxidermy school saving myself some money in the long run. Well check out the web site and good luck this season.

I m shocked that the leaves aren't turning yet. Down in the southern they appear to be a week or more behind normal. Darn!
