Went out yesterday on my local lake, had a field day! We caught a mess of Jumbo yellow perch, one walleye, and a pumkinseed through 6-8 inches of ice. How bought any of you all, doin any good? How thick is your ice now?

here in western n.y. we do not have safe ice yet its, we get 6 ft. of snow and no ice. there are a few nuts that venture out, not me when i can see open water just a coupple hunderd yards away. go get em.

A week or so back an eighty something year old man driove his car out onto the ice up here in Maine. After his vehicle went through the ice the did manage to find his body. DIF&W made it's usual warnings after that about there not being any safe ice yet. Like has already been said some fools go out there anyway though.

Our ice here on around Erie is not too safe.
The coast guard has issued warnings for ice fisherman.I took a ride yesterday and there were some people in the bay,but I have seen people go out on an inch. or two of ice.I don't need a fish that bad.I am waiting for it to get a little thicker.

NO GOOD ICE ON KINZUA YET. A COUPLE BAYS HAVE 4 OR SO INCHES, BUT IT'S STARTING TO HONEYCOMB. THIS WARM SPELL ISN'T HELPING ANYTHING EITHER.
