I don't know why people are saying they had a bad year in NY? Sure the weather was warm but if you hunt all day, you will see deer! They move at night mostly but they do do get up around midday, and with all the wanna be hunters coming out of the woods to go back to sleep at 10am..they push deer around. I got mine at sunrise! But anyway, fellow new yorker here catskills!

Don't have a lot to say, had a pretty crappy season. Too much working and not a lot of hunting. I did get a pretty nice Doe with a rifle in Columbia County though.
Now looking forward to Spring Turkey.

I had a good year.
Got 4 point buck field dressed 156 next to last day archery season.
Got a big fat doe 1st day shotgun.
Had 1 permit left but choose not to fill it.
Hunting is nature.
It is our nature to hunt.
I'm not a hunting fanatic just a hunting addict.

I'm in NY in the lower hudson valley. I had a great season. I took a beautiful 6 with the bow (should have waited till next year he would have been a perfect 8) A nice 8 with the shotgun and a button during extended bow season, also regret that but sometimes you just can't see their little man parts at 25 yards. Nice to see some NY hunters out there.

Hello, i'm from NY. I got a nice 7 pt. thanksgiving morning, one brow tine broke off it had a 20" OS spread and weighed 190 dressed out. WhenI didn't get to hunt as much as I would have liked to this year. I opened a gun shop Oct. 5th. and didn't want to be closed when new customers stopped by.When i did get out all I saw was bucks and I already filled my buck tag. I am in central NY between Ithaca and Cortland. Lots of deer but with the warm weather the hunters were not moving around to get the deer moving.
