RE: Good News In PA
The PGC Corporation is steamrolling and taking everyone along with it on a path to extinction. I hunt in 4C and the advisory committe asked to decrease the tags because those guys are in the woods and see what has happened. Of course the PGC didn't listen and will continue the herd reduction. Their logic is so flawed it is disgusting. They say they are maintaining the numbers in a WMU by simply keeping the doe tags the same. What the HECK are they thinking. If a certain number of tags produced a reduction in the herd from year to year and you reissue the same number next year what do you think will happen. More herd reduction DUUUUHHH. I think they don't understand the success of the masses of doe hunters in a given area. The Amish gangs hunting my WMU do not leave a stone unturned. I would say the herd in 4C is down about 80% versus 5 years ago. How can my kids or nephews ever get interested in a sport that almost doesn't exist in our area. We may as well go and sit at the city park and call that hunting.

you think those little 5 year old kids are shooting those doe. like here,i saw over 15 big gobblers shot by kids 5 years old first weekend using 12 ga. shotgun.i have yet to get close to BIG gobbler this year.i guess i need to see those kids to find out how. i know some of these dads and they are biggest violaters of hunting rules. what a joke pa. is on hunting. RE: Good News In PA
you could be right.
here is another one. a dad was talking to me for directions during late muzzleloader season. son pulled up in old truck with his treestand in back. he yelled out window to his dad,WHERE HELL WERE YOU. dad said,i got cold so i came out. kid said,DID YOU SEE ANY DEER. dad said,I SAW 2 DEER BUT THEY WERE 150 YDS AWAY. kid eyes got big,WHY DID YOU NOT SHOOT. dad said,THEY WERE TO FAR AWAY TO SHOOT. kid said,SHOOT,KEEP SHOOTING I NEED MEAT............ well, if that dont turn you off to type of hunters we are now seeing in woods, it never will. these are same people who had 5 year old kids get gobblers this year, yea right. PGC is destroying our hunting and making it EASYfor these clowns to do things they are. yes, hunting is a joke now......... |

RE: Good News In PA
I dont understand why Youth's need different rules. If the sport/game was organized correctly there would be enough game for all of us. I grew up conserving game(Separate 2 day draw doe tags) and I love this sport. It is just a way for the PGC to kill off more deer and label it something that we think is ok.
Bringing up a youth hunter with conservation and management in his blood creates a better hunter in the long run. |

Personally ,I think the the youth mentored hunts are a terrific idea. It is just unfortunate that some adults abuse the privledge , but there is nothing the PGC can do to stop those that don't respect the laws.
