I'm all for Sunday hunting. I work a lot during the week and the kids activities and homework keep my wife and I pretty busy. A Sunday hunt would be great. I'd be in favor of any additional time to hunt.

It's simply a change that's long overdue. There is almost nothing left that you can't do on Sunday in this state. Virtually every business is allowed to be open on Sunday bars, casinos, beer storesare all open. Every major league sport has games on Sunday. To those who have an objection, simply don'y participate. To landowners who object to Sunday hunting, don't allow it on your property. Every other pastime can be pursued on Sunday. It's time PA came out of the victorian age.

This is a classic separation of church and state isse. I would think that the only reason that the ACLU isn't all over it is because it would require them to actually support gun owners.

Let's look at it this way,
It is not about me - it is about the game that we hunt and the people that we employ to protect that game - so there is game out there for us to hunt.
The PGC cannot afford to hire more game wardens and the deputy's would also like to have some time off, not to mention the fact that the game in the woods needs time off also.
Once you chase them 7 days a week, pretty soon, there will be no more game to hunt!
Hunting is not about ME, it is about US!
SPORT - Sportsmen Policing Our Ranks Together.
That is the sticker that they gaveme when I passed my hunters safety course when I was 13.
I put on my Mossberg Model 500 - 20 Gauge shotgun that I bought with money that I earned (working) cutting grass and trees in a State Park for a whole summer when I was 14.
My opinion is that most people gets a vacation - that they use in the summertime to do stupid things like play golf and go on family vacations.
If you are a true hunter, you will tell your boss and your family - that it is hunting season. I'm going hunting!
If you want to take the kids and leave me and go to your mother’s house - take the housedog too!
If you want to fire me - do it before I leave for hunting camp!
That way - I can collect Unemployment Compensation while I hunt and I won't have to use my vacation days.
It's all about priorities.
Even if they gave you Sundays - you would want more.
My opinion is that they should only have one week of archery and one week of muzzleloader and one week of buck season and two days of doe season - during the week and not on the weekends.
That way you would have to decide if you were going to go to work or if you were going to hunt deer.
The PGC has made it too easy for people to hunt deer and now they do it every day of the season anyways - so what is the difference?

The game populations seem to be doing fine in all the states that allow hunting seven days a week. But if you want to give them a break, then how about moving the day off to wednesday.[8D]
