Nobody here has pointed out that Spitzer and Clinton were ripe for blackmail to keep their secret from the public. So absolutely yes, it does affect their ability to perform their job. In the case of Spitzer, it wasn't just hypocritical, it wasagainst the law, and frankly, public officials are role models for our citizenry, not the least of which are children. To say it's been going on for years doesn't make it right or something that should be tolerated.
