While I can not speak about NY, here in Maine with all the snow the deer are yarded up and have it tough enough without me going in looking for any right now.. Come this spring after the snow leaves I might be giving it a shot. For now though I will let the deer be and hope they get by the rest of the winter. With does developing lambs they are going to be having an even harder time if the snow doesn't start leaving here soon. The end of March and April will be the roughest months for the does and I wish them well to help keep the deer herd up here strong.

Where I am, up until now, we have had an open winter for the most part. Deer have been moving where they want when they want.

I will be looking after our snow melts as well.

Ed,
I'm from the Lake Ontario area, Watertown specifically. Why do you ask?
