Thanx, its a start. I am in Pembroke, MA so that would be about an hour ride, but if I have no where else to go I guess I will have to give up 4 hours of my hunt time to make the trip.:(

Rusty,

Try calling one of the local sporting goods shops. I am sure they can give you a few options.

have you considered learning to do it yourself? it's simple as heck, and much cheaper. unless yer havin' jerky/sausage made, it'll save you $$ and you'll gain great experience from it.... just my 2cents

Just don't have the time. Someday when I slow down maybe. I do have a nice new garage to do it in but... I hunt pretty much every day of the season for deer and have 5 dogs to hunt in between my deer hunts. Then by the time I get home from night stand & get done taking care of the animals there is just enough time to eat and go to bed and start all over again the next AM. Hell, It's tuff just to fit in the ride to a butcher never mind cutting all them up myself.

It simple to clean a deer. It doesnt take long. The more you do the better you will get. I usually quarter them up the day i shoot them and put them in the refrigerator. Later i will de bone and butcher the meat. I Know when i do it that its done right and fresh. I have seen too many deer hanging to long..I also get the satisfaction that i saved at least 50 bucks. With all the money i have saved i got a grinder, slicer, vacuuum sealer, etc.

I have a friend who does it in the field... no dragging..no wrestling...no gutting...he removes the tenders/hams/head(check in purposes only)right on the spot.. puts 'em in gal ziplocks then into his backpack, then to his truck he goes...

It should take you less than 4 hours if you do it yourself with a bit of experience.
