Yeah, I do realize that leasing land to clubs and such is even bigger down south than it is here, but things are changing fast up here also. I guess you are in luck that Lake Taghkanic park allows bowhunting, but if you were also a gun hunter (which they DON'T allow in that park), you would not have an easy time finding a place to hunt on private land in this area. Taconic state park, the other state land in this area does allow gun hunting, but it is far from the most productive spot in this county and gets considerable hunting pressure also.
