just wanted to see if anyone from my area was on this board here this is my 5th year on the fourms and i really only comeon befor and durning the season... also can't wate to read some of your hunting stories from thsi year ..

I hunt up by Hamburg NY on Kissing Bridge Ski Resort property. Usually fish out of Olcott if thats where your from Matt?

Matt, When you go through Punxy, look for Kromer's Dairy. They are distant reletives of mine. My father is from there. Have you ever heard of it? I would love a picture if it's still there.

Pa bow man reminded me that I sometimes get invited to hunt in Boston which is near Kissing Bridge. Great area.

Pa-Bow-Man Yes Olcott is about 4 miles north of me I do some trout fishing at burt dam occasionally. Usually fish in late Dec early Jan. no fishing pressure and some good steelies. Fishing is picking up now, but on the weekends all the nice holes are filled up pretty good I like my fishing serene not spending the day untangling Joe blow who had to fish 3 ft from me

Nybowhunter never heard of kroemers dairy. I don't drive thru punxy or i'd try to hook you up.I'll be hunting in whats called Treasure Lake in Du bois Its a residential area that has a deer problem so they have opened it for a archery hunt. My ole college roomie lives there so lodging is free and after i went to orientation on the 8th my son and I drove around and in broad daylight saw atleast 20-25 deer w/in 20 yds of the rd some were actually some fairly descent bucks I must take a doe first to earn the buck I sent both doe permits in which are guaranteed plus my buck tag so i can get 3 deer down there and season runs from 9/29 thru first or 2n2d week in Jan Should be a whole lotta fun!!!!!!!!!

I use to hunt on Hess road in Newfane at anapple farm. I forgot the name of the farmer, they own the cold storage on the left as you head north towards the lake, maybe the Waltons??? The guys name was Bill.

I hunt w/ my nephew the next rd to the east of hess its called hosmer. We got some soybeans over there that the deer have been hitting pretty hard. We are going to be doing a little videotaping this yr on that chunk of land . You cant beat the apple farms down here only problem is theres so damn many trees deer dont tend to be as patternable the can walk out any where and find apples if you know what I mean

That was the problem with the land, we couldn't pattern them very well becasue there was food everywhere. Nice property though...and good turkey hunting.

I grew up in Attica, I know basically where all you guys are at. Im hunting private land in 8G, genesee county, east bethany area.

first year bow hunting but been shotgun hunting for years... im getting antsy :D

I'm sort of new here, I hunt east otto, franklinville and niagara county.
East otto with a bow.

Born and raised in Steuben. I've been relocated to FL. since forever, but manage to hunt up there most every fall. Got a Sis in Byron and one in Painted Post. Love the area.

Grew up and lived in Lyndonville I still get back now and then but alot has changed there it isnt my old stomping grounds. Most have been bought up by the Amish (spelling?). I live in Maine now and the deerhunting is a little on the slow side but BIG deer. My last was 170lb basket rack 6.

Bighorn, I hunt in Gainesville off route 19. It's about 2.25 miles south of the 19 & 78intersection. Great area.

Matt068- Im also from newfane, im over on coomer rd and hunt that section between the ridge and chestnut road back to beebe, but also picked up a nice quiet 60 acres in barker that has been posted for years. We should meet up sometime maybe even hunt opening day together. Let me know!!

never realized what dear hunting was till i moved to fort drum ny. western new york has nothing on this place. walk outside everyday and see a 6 point a 12 and there has been a non-typical 16 walking around the housing areas

1 week to go and the leaves are still green in N Tonawanda.How are the leaves in the Southern tier? Are they past peak color or has this warm weather screwed everything up. Usually, they have changed by now and are starting to fall.

Youngstown, NY here.Hunt in the Adirondacks, our camp in Dundee,NY and 35 years in PA.Do some good local hunting to when I am not at the other places.You guys in Newfane have some great spots out there to hunt.Have hunted alot in past years on Hess Road.Area sure is filling up with new houses though! Good Luck to all this hunting season.

Small world, took the buck in my avatar at my dad's place in East Otto last year, which borders the state land. Get to a few different places to hunt during the year (Sheldon, Perry, West Falls, and East Otto as I mentioned.)

8544 Traffic Street is where my dad's place is, right across from where Harvey meets it. See attached image, shows the parcel, it is the one where the streams all meet in the middle of it. (state forest is directly to the right of his property.) What property do you hunt (fitz and weller logging land, Duerr's)? Sounds like we might be hunting neighboring property, haha what a small world. Whose property do you hunt or have right to hunt? Maybe we should look into pooling resources and be able to double our hunting area out there for both of us.
