Ya I have used that scrape dripper. It works but trouble was they were coming in after dark to freshen the scrape so I never caught him on it.They say it doesnt drip at night but who knows. You also go through the scent really fast. I wasusing like three or four bottles in a week. Maybe mine is screwed up and dripping to fast but it got expensive. The other thing is I personally have never had luck over a scrape although some of my friends say they have. So whether its worth using .... its up to you. Maybe youll have luck with it. Good Luck.

Todd,

Interesting concept, usingvanilla. I believe I've seen the Buck Bomb with a vanilla option so using that scent must have been successfull for someone at some point in time. Good luck with it and please let us know how it works for you.

Also heard somewhere or read an article about the use of Old Spice as an attractant scent?

ok, i am using it this upcoming monday.

i have hunted this spot twice so far and have seen a grand total of 29 deer within shooting range (25 yards). so i figure this is a good spot to test this out, because of the high density of deer.

i'm gonna dilute it 50/50 and put it in a tinks scent bomb. i will post results / pics monday nite or tuesday morning.

im in north central or southern northern jersey. haha. right on the border of central and northern jersey. bought my vanilla extract and put it in a tinks scent bomb. im actually conducting two experiments tomorrow:

1) does vanilla extract attract/repel/affect deer?

2)if i hunt high enough, do i need to have branches around me to break me up?

i broke my camera, but am gonna borrow my brothers to take pics. i'll keep you posted.

Pawildman,

Never used it myself, but the author of the article sweared by it.If I remember correctly he thought the deer were curious about the smell?

Who knows?
