Seems more people see "cougars" here then in states out west where there is proof they exist.

An interesting observation and one that should merit more attention.

Also interesting that some of the samepeoplewho manage to find cougars in PA,apparently cannot find any deer during deer seasons. And most of usknow there is ample proof that deer stillexist here.

Lived and Hunted all over the Tug Hill region for years, ( and I mean all over) I have heard of sighting both on Tug hill and lower Adirondacks.Never have I seen a Big Cat or track in the woods in the fall or winter, So if there is any, they sure do have a good hidding spot. I'll have to see it to beleive it

Hey Mission,

Mentioning Tug hill....... We were at hillbilly heaven one day snowmobiling and a bunch of locals had a newspaper showing a cat on the trail. They seemed pretty serious about it.

salty444, I can't beleive i didn't see that pic if it was local, I've spent lots of time in that place. I remember a pic in the local news paper once from around the lake ( Ontario) but couldn't really ,make out what it was( looked more like a coyote than a cat)

Whew!!! For awhile there I thought we were going to have to look at those pictures again of the cougar on the wooden deck looking in the sliding glass door.......

I was looking for a cougar the other day while I was out.. I seen one squirrel is all the whole time scouting..

i saw COUGAR..
only 1..
when you see one,what stuck in my mind was how small head was and white goo-tee thing and he screached at me with real big wide shoulders with that little head in between..
when he turned to run what stuck out was long tail about 2-3 ft long and tawny color which i said looked more like orangish color..

this was in clinton county,pa. near keating mtn...

this was reported to PGC and they said i saw COUGAR,but they said they dont exist..
