Hey surfer...9A is Niagara County and Grand Island. No hunting is allowed in Buffalo unless your a drug addict.

I got mine and my girlfriends. Total $156.00!! But I get super sportsman,trapping and she got a regular sportsman,turkey stamp and Dmp's. Here's the rundown.

Mine 2 for 7F
My girlfriend 2 for 7F
My dad applied 2 for 7F but only got one
My Grandfather applied 2 for 7F but only got one
My Grandmother got 1 for 7F and denied for 6K(did it for a preference point next year.)
My Aunt is getting hers this week but she's trying for 7A and 7F.

How does she get a preference point next year if she did get one permit in another unit? If you get one permit in either your first or second choice you get O preference points for next year. I have heard a number of hunters say they will be getting preference points for next year by being denied in one of two units they applied for, but that is NOT what happens. It seems like a lot of license issuing agents are giving people wrong information also.

You get a preference point if you do not get your first choice only.

I got my first with a pref point in 7m and got my second in 7f. Very easy and took 5 minutes tops at Dicks.

Not what the DEC told her about it but O well find out next year.

6K was the first choice. 7F was the second.

Does anyone know how many acres you have to own for a landowners permit?

nybowhunter,I sure can see what you mean about Buffalo, I was up there in May on buisness. My first visit and it seemed to be a very depressed area.

I got a preference point each of the last 2 years because my first choice was denied. I recieved my 2nd choice both those years.

I got my tags for 3m a few weeks ago. I got 2 dmp,buck and bear tags. I didn't get any dmp tags last year(first year hunting) so I'm really happy about that.

You need 50 acres to get a landowner permit.

I just got my super sportsman and my DMP was 7m and I got it. I also got 1 for 1c on long island.. hope I can get there.. there are alot of deer out there.
