It is official, Grannis was confirmed by a 44-18 vote. It will be interesting to see how this one pans out. Keep your fingers crossed.

Perhaps it would have been a good idea for the various hunting/sportsmen associations to have thought about this before the last election and done something to ensure that no matter who won the governors race, they would be respectful of their interests.
Instead, with the exception of Safari Club, not a single hunting/sportsmens group in the state made any effort to help good politicans get elected and stay elected and more importantly, made absolutely no effort to remove incumbent politicans who consistantly vote against their interests.
If you are unwilling to take part in the political selection process, don't complain about the results.

I tried to help from down here in Virginia, and that NYC weasel still got appointed, head of the DEC! [:@] Well, it looks as though I will never go hunting up in NY on my brother-in-law's farm in Madison Co. now... Or tag along with one of my wife's family members in western NY south of Buffalo... [:'(]
NY'ers... Why not come down here to Virginia? It's great down here and very laid back. One other sister & brother-in-law of mine already moved from NY and live down here too.

That is exactly what happens when everyone sits on their hands until the last minute. Sorry to say, but you/we brought it upon ourselves
