LTC does not mean you have to conceal pistol, it just means ,you can..
also, courthouse and school property you cant carry pistol..
also you can carry a semi-auto on stateforestland here in pa.with LTC but you can only use it for defense not hunting..

i hope outlaws dont use rechargeable spotlights and pistol to outlaw for deer or use pistol in archery..that seems to be a big concern from guys at sportsman club that pistols wil be used in archery and early muzzleloader season in oct..

Given the "choice" of using my snub nosed 38 or my bowfor a 20 yard shot at a deer, think I'll stick with the bow. It's both legal and more effective.

It was illegal to shootat a deer with ahandgun during archery season, before the reg changed and it willstillbe illegal. Now it's justnot illegal to have the firearm along for personal protection while archery hunting.

Not everyone is tempted to break the lawas easily as others are.

I'm with everyone else that says MD sucks. Not only do you have to do back flips to purchase a hand gun, you have to be very careful about how and when you transport it.

what i don't understand about letting you carry concealed during archery season that one can still bowhunt with a firearm on your person???? when the regulation says you can't have a firearm when archery hunting....is the crime rate getting so bad that even while archery hunting you have to protect yourself???? i just don't understand the logic..................bob

The logic is, that the state trusted us to carry concealed everyday while we wereout in public...but apparentlydidn't trust usenough to take along the same means of self protection while archery hunting; spotlighting or whilehunting spring gobblers.

If you have a License To Carry and don't feel the need to carry a handgun while engaged in any activity coveredunder the game titles, then by all means leave it at home. The rest of us can now finally carry if we wish to.

Anyone that's ever been a victim of a violent crime and didn't have the recourse of protecting themselves from an armed assailant can explain it better than I can. A family member was mugged and pistol whipped earlier this week for the few dollars in his wallet. Up until then, he thoughthis world was a pretty safe place too.
