I think Denny has the solution! It must be the griffins! And maybe Sproul is correct too. Maybe they probably fly south for the winter. Maybeto southern Florida? That would explain everything wouldn't it?

Pass the mushrooms;)

That thread always amazed me and it was the same thing on at least two other websites. It's scarey that some of these people actually carry guns in the woods.

This deal about animals moving in and out of areas reminds me of what happened to one of our guys during bear season a few years ago. He was hunting the area between Little Medix and Medix Runs. Another hunter approached him, and they started a conversation. One thing led to another, and the other hunter asked Carey if he had been seeing many deer. Carey said he'd seen some, but not a whole lot. The other guy then proceeded to tell him that he would be wasting his time hunting anywhere around this part of the country, because the deer all go down to the Curwensville area this time of the year.
He could hardly wait to tell us that one when he got back to camp. We all knew this was probably not so, as we hadn't seen any buses in the area with Curwensville destination on their headers We figured they had to be taking buses, as it was just too far to walk.
Well, I thought I'd better share that with those of you who deer hunt the Medix areas. Now you will understand what has happened, and why you don't see as many deer as you used to. The ones you do see probably just missed the bus.

That's actually true.Unfortunately the trucks that the PGC used to haul them with were the same ones they used to bring coyotes in with and they all broke down along I80.

Gee....I guess we never considered the PGC to be doing the hauling, but now that you mention it, it makes perfect sense to me.........
Well, now. There you have it..............

Few understand the actual procedures: It's easy to get 'yotes to crowd into a truck reekin' of deer, as they naturally tend to gravitate towards that scent as a matter of their predatory nature.

On the other hand, it's extremely hard if not impossible,to get deer to board a truck that smells of 'yotes. So obviously they truck the deer where they want them first, (downhill, towards town, whatever), then theygo fetch another load of song dogs and the occaisonal oddpuma.

Trust me on this...Them folks at the game commission ain't nowheres near as dumb as some would have us believe and have spent years refining these techniques.

BT BOWHUNTER, I could have swore that I read at one time you saw a Mountainlion. Maybe it was someone else. It was in another ML debate about a year ago.
