Upstate NY snow
#2
Just cancelled a trip to Vermont last week because of the lake effect snows!! Lake Ontario is where the Lake effect snows are comming from now. Lake Erie is almost froze over, so that shut down the snow machine around here!! So the Albany area is still getting hit as we speak.

I liove in Catskill and work near Albany and we haven't had hardly any snowfall this winter. Maybe 2 inches. But Wed. we are suppose to get a good storm and some sleet. Oswego, NY has got 10 foot of snow in some areas.

were are finally due to get some accumulation of snow here in the So. Tier. Maybe 8-18" by Wed.
The big snow has been up in the Tug Hill region due east of the end of Lake Ontario. Some places are over 11' and counting (in just the past wek or so) - put it this way, the snow is up to the roofs and there is no where else to shovel snow!!!!! That has got to be one impressive sight. Glad it's not me!

Albany is way outa range for all the Ontario lake effect. They have had hardly anything. There is a big Northeaster coming in tonight though that will change the totals. I live between Syracuse ans Oswego just about 10 miles shy of the real snow. For the season I have around 100" Oswego had 90" just last week. The worst was Redfield who got 158" in 7 days. The Northeaster is supposed to drop 20 to 30 inches.
