RE: PGC SAYS DEER ARE STARVING

Heres a link to the article on the subject

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/P/PA_DEER_KILL_PAOL-?SITE=PAGRE&SECTION=US&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT

This is a fully fenced federal facility. I happen to know a guy who used to sneak on the property before it was fenced. That is, he did until a team armed with M16's swooped down on him one day. The area is now toatlly fenced in and the deer have no way in or out. What do you expect them to do Sproul? Are you volunteering to put up the money to have them trapped out?

Your post could just as well appear on PETA's web page. Your post makes about as much sense as some PETA reactions to similar situations in the past.

penn state trapped deer in wmu2g,they bragged about all deer they trapped..they could trap thosedeer out and move them..

BUT ,remember, pgc says they are all SICK..well, i am not there and pictures i have show everyone in picture with BIG FAT SASSY BUTTS..

i just dont believe word that our PGC says anymore..i really believe they are using that DISEASE thing so they dont have to bother with it..

1.Penn State netted the deer to tag them for a mortality study and movement study.

2.Did you ever see pics. of someone who is starving..their stomachs are distended.

3.What a surpirse YOU don't believe the PGC. This is a gov't facility and as such federally owned property. The Gc has no control.
Even if they could trap them out, as malnourished as they are the stress of the move would kill them.

You are always trying to find blame w/ the PGC..... We're not buying it.

sproul knows difference between a starving deer and a BIG FAT SASSY DOE..my pictures show no deer that look like they are starving..

cant you see it just excuse to get rid of deer there..yes, there may be too many for area, i am not saying that, i am saying i feel they could be trapped out by PENN STATE GIRLS and moved so hunters can hunt them next year..thats my whole bitch here..

as for cost, what did it cost to trap deer in wmu2g for 5 year study and come to conclusion we dont know how to hunt?they came up with money for that.. oh , i forgot , they are full of disease, yea right, you know who is full of it..

I wish I was the one shooting them. I would do it for free just for the practice. Even by my own shells. Is therea place to sign up at?

For every deer you trap and transfer you better bring about 32 acres of high quality deer habitat with it. It is the habitat and food each deer needs that are hard to move and there is no sense moving the deer if there isn’t the habitat and food for the deer to survive on.

Besides I have been involved in tranquilizing and moving deer in the past. Darn few of them actually survive the move.

The deer you are talking about in the study weren’t moved they were captured and then with minimal exposure to people they were collared and quickly released back into their home range. That is a mighty big difference to trapping, moving and relocating deer……that simply doesn’t work.

Sproul, you claim to have pictures. Well, lets see em! And while you're at it you'll need to let us know who took them since this is a controlled security area.

RSB is correct. several studies have shown that deer get so stressed in the process that it damages their heart. It's called stress related cardiomyopathy. Eventhose that dont die rightaway often end up with a weakened and enlarged heart only to die later of congestive heart failure. I'm sure the risk of this phenomenon would only be worse onalready malnourished deer.
