I am posting pics from my family, they are not all mine alone. I have to get over to my Dad's and get some pics of the others. Most have come from the ANF, some from open to hunting private property.

BTB, in the right spots Morraine is a gold mine during the early archery season before the small gamers, and early season muzzleloaders get out and stir everything up. I hunted the park hard my last two years of college and during the week i very seldom saw other hunters but always good numbers of deer, buck and doe both. This is the buck i took the following year in 2005. I know he is no monster but i couldn't believe howbig his body was for a 1.5 old buck. The park is full of extremely good habitat and has plenty of cover and food to house some really great bucks. If your interested, PM me and i'll give up some of my old honey holes.

BT,
It's 9 3/4".
RSB,
Could it have been from and injury to the buck?
Livbucks,
your post cracked me up

Here's a little better pic of the brows, that extra point on the good side also shows up on the messed up side's brow tine.
I’d guess that the length and shape of the brow tines on this buck are probably from the genetic make up. But, I would bet the buck split the right beam when it was just starting to grow. That is most likely why the main bean didn’t get any points while the brow tine did. Being split is also the most probably reason the right antler base is larger in diameter then the left antler, or at least it appears to be in the picture.

It is a darn nice buck though. Congratulations!!!!

Bionic: From what I've heard, public ground is even tougher to hunt in Jersey. How much did that bad boy weigh? His rack is really nice and the der looks fairly heavy as well.
Bt, believe it or not he dressed out at 90 pounds, the pic makes him look bigger cause I am sitting on the ground behind him! Where I hunt mature bucks rarely go over 100 or 110 pounds, and like mine a bit less after the rut.

Bionic, by the look of your pic, you must be in south jersey. no?

im in north jersey, and most of our 1.5 year olds dress out around 100 lbs.

most 2.5 and 3.5 year olds that i shoot dressed out around 120-140.

ya'll got some small (bodied) deer down there.
