RE: Who belongs to a hunting lease?

i would love to find a lease to hunt. i have driven two hours both directions of my house putting up flyers, calling people, sending about 200 letters, and nothing. if you guys ever find a lease with any "extra" land fill me in, but im glad to see atleast some people have leases :)

If anyone can help? I would be intersted myself. I'm from the Springfield massarea. just by interstate 91. Thanks much for any help I can get. I also would not mind hunting with some one. I haven't hunted in about 10 years now and I'm just starting over again this fall. so, anyone looking for a partner are welcom..I can hunt by myself and usualy do but hunting with another is safer...Thanks again

Hey, can I be one of your friends also. I'd love to get into a lease on groomed land, with food plots to hunt over. Can you erect little cabin like structures in the trees?
We can be friends John, but I dont think you're quite ready for the big leagues as far as the lease goes. You see, we try to practice just about everything you dont like about PA deer management.

You'd have to periodically stock some pheasants.

I wouldn't even consider belonging to lease in 2G if it wasn't for needing a place to take my kids riding. The public land around here has much better hunting than any lease that I know of.I would belong to a lease in other areas of the state where access is much more restricted.

Idon't blame them one bit. It's not a problem on this lease though because they have 2-3 pocker runs on it a year.I use it more for horses than anything.

Do you do horse back trips?

RE: Who belongs to a hunting lease?

I really don't trailer my horses.I can leave from the barn and never hit the same trail twice.I have a 6 year old Tennessee walker that's still a little green.I'm trying to get her to the point where mydaughter can show her but she's still too unpredictable.Anytime I take her in to unfamiliar territory she gets nervous and jumpy.I'm ok with that if I'm by myself or with other adults but my little girl is usually with me.I have to spendspend most of mytime keeping an eye on my daughter and her horse. The horse is getting better so maybe by the end of the summerwe'll take some trips.

I have gone huntingout west on horseback trips but I didn't bring my horses.

I think horseback would be a great way to go shed hunting.
