My buddy and I were out bowhunting today and we each had a slammer out of bow range but within 100 yards. His was a 12 with about a 20" inside spread.I didnt get a great look at the one I had near me but he was a shooter for sure and the track indicates a HUGEbody. We were two miles apart so it wasnt the same buck. Oh, and I passed on a 1 1/2 year old 8 pointer at 30 yards.

I couldn't agree more. I was only able to get out two days for the late season thus far but had deer within bow range on both occasions. The latter day I had two really nice bucks head past me but just before it was light enough for decent shooting.

I wish the late season was justa bit longer.

Lots of good bucks out there yet. I know many of my better bucks got through and I'm looking forward already to next fall. Just yesterday my Mom's husband said a monster 12 stood in his backyard. ....
