You arrogant SOB
Thisis where it always goes with the anti-ar-extremists, and that is why they have actions taken against them. Commenting on the validity of ones actions is part of debate. Taunting them with trash talk and then reverting to vulgarity is against the rules here, and will get you banned.

if you don't find a cape buffalo exciting enough to hunt there the elephant, lion, crocs, leopard, etc might fancy you.
Truthfully, I have nothing against it, I guess it could be fun and all. I know that a guide takes you to the animals, you make a stalk of sorts and pull the trigger and go home with an african trophy. Sounds like a caribou trip to the arctic circle. Big deal. I guess I wouldn't mind doing it but it would be one of my last choices to tell you the truth.
My first choice is to call off work on a foggy day in November, sneak to one of my stands and wait on the fruits of AR and the rut to bring the most majestic animal on the planet into my view. A mature whitetail buck. I guess I have little use for going to Africa, because they don't have whitetails there.
Did you eat the elephant, lion, crocs, leopard, BTW?
Do they make good sausage?
I thought you hunted for the meat. Why are you killing these high class trophies then?

BUT!! I still extend the offer of stopping by our farm for a look at my trophy room.
I'm not doubting EC, but I think someone should take her up on her offer, preferably one of the Mods here. So, I'd like to be the very first to nominate none other than AJ for whatis surebe a most pleasurable and entertaining visit!

Livbucks- I have hunted african game and enjoyed it. While we had great challenges with stalking various game, some where a bit "easier" than others. Some of the hardestspecies to take where Nyala, and bushbuck, as they where much more cover orientated and allot more "spooky".

However, I am with you 100% that they don't compare to whitetail hunting.

Years after the trip, I read a line from a book called "The big game Animals of North America" By the famous Jack O'Conner. He said to this effect

"Anyone who's big game hunting is restricted to the whitetail deer should never feel slighted. As they got the best biggame animal in the world"

He couldn't have been more right IMO.

Keep hunting the way you love to...

Back to the subject though. I hunted PA lastin 1995, and have not been back since. Seeing the great deer that are being taken there by friends and family, AR has actually perked my interest in hunting PA again. The new AR regs and deer program in VT also has sparked my interest of hunting there in future years.

I had considered requesting a gender test like they have in the Olympics, but decided to stay out of it.
