Noel feather was definitely charged with more than one offense. It was a very shady business. But you want to hear something funny? I was researching a SA safari, and the PH sent me a video of who else but Noel Feather! This just last year, and only a few years after he was charged with all these crimes, and his records pulled. I couldn't believe it. Him and his buddy were pulling stunts like both shooting a zebra at the same time from the same blind, ect. I sent the video back and explained to the PH that this might not be real good advertising over here in the states. Hilarious. The poor Ph thought he had free celebrity advertising.

I'd like to hear more on Roger Rothhaar (sp). Last I knew or heard he hadn't tagged his deer (or tagged it properly or fully or something) and left it in the woods (due to being late for work?) and was then arrested. He claimed the Wardens were trying to get him. I have never heard of anything offical on this and as it's been many years would really like to know.
Cardeer, I believe you need to sign an affidavit saying where you killed the deer (state). As in everything it is up to the individual to be honest.

Buckhunter3, I knew that Noels bucks were initially pulled from the books, but I understood that they were since reinstated. I stand corrected, thanks!

Big Country,I hope you are not mad at me I might of come on too strong and if so I am sorry.I wasn't mad at you for any of your comments I was just dissapointed at a person like Noel Feather who gets people to look up to him even buy into what he is selling and then find out he cheated. It makes you feel like you got cheated yourself.Believe me I hate to say anything bad about another hunter
everybody makes mistakes in life myself included, but I think Noel Feather knew exactly what he was doing and hurt alot of people doing it.You have alot of good post Big Country so keep it up.

Rothaar got old. Sold his broadhead business to Magnus (I think?). He lived in big buck country prior to Ohio having firearms seasons and crossbows! He worked six days a week 3 to 11 PM at Timken bearings. Hunted ever available hour, made broadheads in his spare time.

The incident was about a deer that was shot near a wildlife refuge in North Western Ohio. He says he shot the deer and it ran into the refuge. The game wardens said that the blood trail started in the refuge and ended in the ground where he said he shot it. I do not trust Ohio gamewardens so I would probably believe Rothaar.

I talked to the guy at several hunting shows. He never got rich from his broadheads or his books. He only shot about a 10 deer in his life when I met him (1989). All with a recurve bow starting in the early 1960's He only hunted older deer. I think he was framed by the wardens.

Did you ever hear the story about the Ohio game wardens who were selling metal antler tags to poachers? There were several accounts of this all over the state. Who do you believe?
